History of the LUXXOR and its creator “Mr. RonSparks”                                                                       The  Sparks d' Elegance

The LUXXOR was the culmination of many years experience of coach building and the passion of  Mr. Ron Sparks of San Marcos , California. Ron Sparks had been involved with hand built custom car in the southern California area for year when he met Mr. Alain Clenet in 1975. Sparks worked with Clenet in producing some of the first clenet cars to be sold . After a short time Mr. Sparks became frustrated with the lack of quality control and started his own company and built the Sparks roadster and the Sparks Phaeton Dual cowl limo. The dual cowl limo had all of the fine appointments like Connolly leather, diamond jeweled clocks, car phone with an intercom for the driver to talk to the passenger, Hand rubbed walnut dash and a list that goes on and on. Ron Sparks decided to produce a neo-classic that could be afforded by the middle class worker on his way up that wanted to make a statement .

Ron used the Nissan 280 z as the platform for his creation that he would later call  the Spartan . The Spartan was one of the most successful neo-classic ever built. Ron Sparks built approx. 300-350 Spartans & Spartan II , the Spartan II was built on the Nissan 300zx [ the replacement for the 280 z] Initially all Spartans were sold through Nissan [ then Datsun ] Dealerships.
The Spartan was very popular with the entertainment business in nearby Hollywood , Actress Joan Collins and comedian Eddie Murphy as well as one of the Dallas Cowboys , all owned and enjoyed the Spartan . Through a series of personal problems....Divorce.... the Spartan faded away.

Ron Sparks spent over 2 years, and two hundred thousand dollars , developing the molds , tooling and jigs that would  build the Luxxor . Only 4 examples of this fine car were sold and then the big “D” [ divorce] happened again . The molds and tooling sat in storage for 3 years till they were purchased by  in 2003.

Now back by popular demand, The Neo-Classic Luxxor,  with all its hand-built elegance and quality, yet affordable to the middle class worker.
